Muco-defen® (water-soluble)

Muco-defen® (water-soluble) is a pivotal product in supporting gut health through a specialized formulation. It features Surfactin, a patented, solid-state fermented postbiotic, classified as a second metabolite derived from Bacillus species. As a postbiotic, Surfactin offers high stability, is free from drug residues and antibiotic resistance. Muco-defen® (water-soluble) is easily administered through the drinking water system. It effectively prevents pathogenic colonization, disrupts the replication of enveloped viruses, and inhibits the sporulation of coccidian oocysts. By maintaining gastrointestinal health and mucosal integrity, Muco-defen® (water-soluble) promotes microbial balance in the gut, thereby enhancing the animal’s immune system and overall production performance.

Surfactin contains 7 amino acids and an amphiphilic structure with hydrophilic and hydrophobic, to destroy the bacterial cell membrane as well as change the osmotic pressure to achieve the bactericidal effect.

Muco-defen® (water-soluble)

- Inhibit the growth of pathogen bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens, Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, Salmonella enterica and Staphylococcus aureus.
- Does not affect beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus salivarius.
- Provide a bactericidal effect naturally without causing drug resistance.
- Interfere replication of enveloped viruses such as porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) virus.
- Inhibit the sporulation of coccidian oocysts.
- Create a favorable gastrointestinal environment for animals and stimulate the digestive enzymes to increase FCR.

Dosage and application

◆ Post-weaning liquid feed training, intensive care fence management, and pigs with gastrointestinal problems or poor performance.
◆ Intestinal issues, seasonal changes, and feed transition periods.
◆ 1 kg/500-1000 liters of water.
◆ Increase the dose when PED happens.
